As the Catamount Senior Elite League regular season winds down, the race for this year’s awards is heating up. With elite performances across the board, a few names have separated themselves but with time still left, nothing is locked in.

Here’s where things stand heading into the final push.

Distributor of the Year (Assist Leader)

This race has a clear frontrunner—and he’s been there all season.

Jake Ledyard (Buckshots) leads the league with 13 assists, setting the tone as the league’s top playmaker. Ledyard has been the driving force behind the Buckshots’ offense, consistently creating scoring opportunities and elevating the players around him.

His ability to slow the game down and deliver tape-to-tape passes has made him the most dangerous distributor in the league.

Leader:

  • Jake Ledyard (Buckshots) – 13 assists

Chasing Pack:

  • Sam (Chiefs) – 2nd

  • Tim (Buckshots) – 3rd

While Sam and Tim have both put together strong seasons, Ledyard remains firmly in control. It would take a late surge, but the door isn’t completely closed just yet.

Puck Hog Award (Goal Scoring Leader)

If you’re looking for pure goal-scoring ability, this race has been electric.

Craig Reyell (Chiefs) leads the league with 14 goals, proving himself as one of the most dangerous finishers in the league. Whether it’s off the rush, in tight, or cleaning up rebounds, Reyell has found ways to fill the net all season long.

But the pressure is on.

Tucker Cobb (Essex) sits right behind with 13 goals, making this one of the tightest races in the league.

Leader:

  • Craig Reyell (Chiefs) – 14 goals

Right Behind:

  • Tucker Cobb (Essex) – 13 goals

  • Jake Ledyard (Buckshots) – 9 goals

One big performance could flip this race instantly, setting up a dramatic finish.

Chris Thompson MVP Award

The most prestigious award in the league—and the hardest to predict.

At the top, we have a tie:

  • Jake Ledyard (Buckshots) – 22 points

  • Craig Reyell (Chiefs) – 22 points

Two players. Two completely different styles.

  • Ledyard – The playmaker. Drives offense through vision and passing.

  • Reyell – The finisher. Leads the league in goals and delivers when it matters most.

Right behind them is Tucker Cobb (Essex) with 21 points, quietly putting together one of the most consistent and impactful seasons in the league.

MVP Front Runners:

  • Jake Ledyard (Buckshots) – 22 pts

  • Craig Reyell (Chiefs) – 22 pts

Dark Horse:

  • Tucker Cobb (Essex) – 21 pts

Final Take

  • Distributor of the Year → Ledyard in control

  • Puck Hog Award → Reyell leads, Cobb right on his heels

  • Chris Thompson MVP → Absolute toss-up

With playoffs right around the corner, every shift matters—and these races are far from over.

What to Watch

  • Can Ledyard lock up both the assist title and MVP?

  • Will Reyell’s goal scoring give him the edge for MVP?

  • Does Cobb sneak in and steal the spotlight late?

One thing is certain…

The awards race is just as competitive as the league itself and it’s not over yet.
